Kashmir's Hangul faces extinction

Deforestation, excessive cattle grazing and frequent forest fires are destroying the natural habitation of a rare species of stags in Kashmir, locally known as Hangul. Wildlife officials say that the Hangul which at present number only 160 is facing extinction unless urgent measures are taken to save their habitat.
