Dharmasthala, known for its charity works is situated at Dakshina Kannada district in Karnataka state, India. The literal meaning of the word Dharamasthala itself is ‘the place for charity’. The institution offers different kinds of charity works like Annadana (free food), Abhayadana (assurance of protection), Aushadhadana (free medicine) and also Vidyadana (promotion of educational facilities).

Annadana takes place every day at Annapoorna dining hall of Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala. Everyday thousands of pilgrims, either rich or poor are offered free food. The cooking is done with the help of modern amenities and utensils and the quality and hygiene are never compromised.

dharmastala is really a wonderful place.... i like the this temple coz every devotees r treated equally n their is no money for the darshan like any other temples... really dharmastala is GREAT....
