About 'Kambara Nritham– 2'

The video is an excerpt from Kambara Nritham, a tribal dance of Kerala. This is the traditional dance of Adiyaan, the tribal community inhabiting the Wayanad district of the state. Wayanad is home to several tribes and the Adiyaans rank fifth in terms of population.

Agriculture is the main occupation and the Kambara dance is performed during the paddy planting season. The male members of the community go around the fields dancing and singing while the females plant new saplings.
