Adivasi Pawara dance of Dhule district, Maharashtra

Adivasi Pawara dance is a folk dance from the central district of Maharashtra, Dhule. It is a tribal dance of the group tribes called Adivasi and is played with stick and plate. It is performed especially on marriage processions.

Dhol, a drum like instrument, is the main percussion used. This dance is distinguished as a socio-cultural feature of this tribe. The languages spoken by Adivasi tribes are Ahirani and Adivasi.
