The Mahatma's journeys
While the struggle for Freedom was gaining strength in India, Gandhiji travelled the length and breadth of the country to mobilise the masses. He always preferred to live like a poor man of his country and no wonder, walking was his favourite mode of travel.
The historic Dandi March that played an important role in the Freedom struggle was a march taken out on foot by Gandhiji and around 78 satyagrahis from Sabarmati Ashram to Dandi, a coastal village in Gujarat covering around 390 km distance.
The video presents some moments from the Mahatma's various travels.
