A UNESCO World Heritage Site is considered to be of outstanding value to humanity and human culture. The world heritage site programme was formed with the international treaty by the Convention concerning the protection of world’s cultural and natural heritage, adopted by the general conference of UNESCO on 1972. Till now the world heritage list includes 911 properties: 704 cultural, 180 natural, and 27 mixed properties, in 151 States Parties. And among this India has 27 UNESCO world heritage.
