Micro Cataract Surgery

Micro cataract surgery is the most advanced of all cataract surgeries. A small incision, of 1 mm length, is made on the cornea, through which the lens is removed and a new one is placed in its position. The incisions are later closed by pure hydrostatic pressure. Since no blood is involved in the surgery and the wounds heal within 24 hrs the patient can continue his/her normal life from the very next day.

The video here has for you the details of micro cataract surgery, explained by Dr Ashley Thomas Jacob of Mulamoottil Eye Hospital.
