Jal Mahal "Water Palace" in Jaipur

Erected in 1799, the Jal Mahal, literally meaning ‘Water Palace’ is an architectural beauty built in the Rajput and Mughal style in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, India.
Famed for its intricate beauty and architectural style, the palace is situated in the middle of the picturesque Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur with the lofty Nahargarh hills (part of Aravalli hills) as its backdrop.

A five-storeyed palace, the first four floors of Jal Mahal are submerged under water, which itself is an atypical view. The Nahargarh Fort nearby is an added attraction that provides a splendid view of the lake as well as the palace, which had been used as a pleasure spot once.

The Palace is accessible from the Jaipur-Delhi National Highway No 8, around 4 km from Jaipur.
