Street Shops at Dakshineswar

Dakishneswar, the famous Kali temple dedicated to goddess Kali is located on the shores of river Ganga in West Bengal, India. Coming back from the temple, one may come across many street shops, which sell a wide variety of curiosities. Panipuri, the local sweets, toys, and small idols of Gods are being sold in these shops. Handy models of Shiva Linga are the most sought after things in these shops. There is a good collection of conchs as well, in various hues, sizes and shapes.
