Kaziranga national park in Assam, a north-eastern state in India is noted for its rich biodiversity. This wildlife sanctuary has been listed as one of the heritage sites in the world by UNESCO. Well known for its successful conservation of the one-horned rhino, Kaziranga always fascinates tourists from around the globe. Elephant Safari starts from very early morning and continues for one or 1/2 hours. Mahouts bring out their elephants and get them ready for the trip. Elephants are properly fed before the trip and special seats for the travelers (howdahs) are arranged on top of them. Elephant safari covers Baguri, Hole Path, Mihimukh, Kohora Central Path and Arimarah.
