This is the beautiful shot of a rainy morning in the state of Assam in India. Being a north-eastern state, Assam has a tropical monsoon rainforest climate and experiences heavy rainfall and high humidity.

The climate is characterised by heavy monsoon downpours reducing summer temperatures and having foggy nights and mornings in winter. Thunderstorms known as Bordoicila are frequent during the afternoons.

From the month of March to April Assam has its spring season and from September to October the autumn season. These seasons are usually pleasant with moderate rainfall and temperature.
