Tuber of amukkuram, after cleaning in boiled milk seven times may be dried and powdered. The powder thus obtained, mixed with boiled and moderately cooled water is a good preventive medicine for Chikungunya. Those who have been affected with the disease are also benefited by the drugs’ anti-inflammatory property.
