Nalanda in Bihar state of India is a renowned University founded in 5th century CE. It is considered as the ancient seat of learning. This world famous university was established by the Gupta dynasty. The ruin of the ancient university is shown in this video. The excavated area in the site is about 14 hectares.

The structure of this institution is very beautiful. You can see Vihara-1, the most interesting place and the courtyard which was used by the professors to address their students. You can also see many stupas and the statues of Lord Buddha in different poses.

Tourists frequent this major spot in Bihar as it is an ancient place of historical importance. The temple no. 3 in this place has many impressive pyramids.
