Directed by the director duo —R Krishnan Raju and S Panju, Bhabhi is 1957 Hindi film with Balraj Sahni, South Indian actress Pandari Bai, Nanda in pivotal roles. The songs in this film were penned by Rajendra Krishnan while Chitragupta composed the music.

The film discusses the issue of widow marriage and the status of the widows in our society. The film was actually a remake of a Tamil movie Kula Deivam. “Chali Re Pathang” is one of the famous songs from this film.
