Presented here is a lecture-cum- demonstration video of the rhythmic foot steps used for Ladi composition in Kathak by the famous Kathak dancer, Pali Chandra. Ladi in Kathak is a string of rhythm patterns weaved in a sequence which is represented mainly through foot steps. Ladi mainly focuses on the footwork compositions consisting of variations on a theme or story and it ends in a tihai (normal footwork composition).
