One of the centuries old dance forms of Kerala is Mohiniyattam. A solo performance by women, this dance comprises very graceful body movements and a range of facial expressions. The word Mohiniyattam literally means dance of the ‘enchantress.’ Mohini means a woman who captivates the onlookers and aattam, means sensuous body movements.
