The wonderful artifacts made of bamboo and cane displayed in Dilli Haat, the craft shopping centre located in Central Delhi. These are from the easternmost states of India – Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura.

North Eastern states are well-known for its cane and bamboo products. These raw materials are not used for just making handicraft items – such as variety of baskets, mats, decoratives and musical instruments – but also used to make household items and furniture.
