About 'National Gandhi Museum'

Gandhi Smriti is one of the biggest museums on Gandhiji and has a library in which about 60,000 books are kept. The museum preserves his personal belongings along with photographs, relics, wall paintings and sayings of Mahatma Gandhi.

One can also find a memorial stone or martyr’s column which has been erected at the spot where he was shot dead, inscribed with his last words “Hey Ram”.

Behind the memorial there is a pavilion decorated with frescoes which tell the story of Mahatma’s life.

Gandhi Smriti is located at 5 Trees January Marg at New Delhi, India.
