The video shows the building that was the residence of Mahatma Gandhi for a quite long period (1919-1930). The name Hridaykunj was given to the residence by Kakasaheb Kalelkar.

It was during his life here that the title ‘Mahatma’ was bestowed upon the greatest leader the country has ever seen. The building hosted several national and international leaders who came to visit Gandhiji.

Mahatma Gandhi had pledged during the Dandi march for freedom that he would return to this place only after his country is freed.
