The primary step in processing peanut is the harvesting of the plant in which matured peanuts are windrowed by putting them in specialized machines. The machine; digs, shakes and place the peanut pods on the top.

After drying the mature peanuts in open-air, they are then picked up from the windrow and packed in sacks.
