Situated on the suburb of Ahmedabad city in the State of Gujarat in India is the Sabarmati Ashram or the Gandhi Ashram; a national monument. Situated on the banks of Sabarmati River, this monument is significant in the history of Indian independence movement.

Sabarmati Ashram was one of the residences of Mahatma Gandhi – the Father of the Nation. Gandhiji who wanted a simple way of living had done some experiments like farming, animal husbandry in this piece of land. The Ashram now functioning as a museum has a rare collection of photographs and antiques.
