Located in the Little Rann of Kutch, a salty marshland in the State of Gujarat in India is the Wild Ass Sanctuary, where the Indian Wild Asses are commonly seen. Locally known as Khur, these are considered as endangered species. Here, apart from wild asses one can come across a wide variety of birds and animals. Established in 1972, this sanctuary is now one of the popular tourist attractions in Gujarat.
