About 'Jagti Patt temple within Naggar Fort'

Travellers to Naggar fort never forget to visit Jagti Patt temple, a small shrine inside the fort. Within the temple, there is a stone slab measuring 1.5 m by 2.5 m. There is an interesting story related to this temple. According to myths, the gods decided to choose Naggar as their celestial seat. They transformed themselves into honeybees and cut a stone from Deotiba and carried it to the spot where the temple presently is.

The Naggar fort is a prominent travel destination in Manali, Himachal Pradesh. The fort belonged to the Pal dynasty, who ruled the state for 1500 years. The fort is constructed with stones and intricate wood cuttings. It is a specimen of the glorious architectural legacy of Himachal Pradesh.
