The Shimla State Museum is a rare place where one can see the rich cultural heritage of the Himalayan state, Himachal Pradesh, India. The museum houses a huge collection of Pahari miniatures, magnificent paintings, sculptures, coins, handicrafts and photos of the state. The state museum is a major attraction of the Mall area of Shimla. It is built in the colonial style with sprawling lawns all around. This museum was inaugurated in 1974.
