Kathakali, being a popular art form of Kerala is well accepted by the art enthusiasts. It is acclaimed as one of the oldest theatre forms in India. Usually the singers stand towards the back of the stage and sing while the costumed dancers mime out the story centrestage.

The story of the performance is taken from the epics of Hindu mythology. The performance consists of dance and music which is truly a feast to the eyes of the audience.
