Kuchipudi is a traditional dance form which has its roots in the south-east Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. This art form derives its name from a small village, Kuchelapuram some distance away from Vijayawada. It is the portrayal of scenes from Hindu epics and myths with graceful movements and skilled acting.
