Cooperative societies boost milk production in Jammu and Kashmir

With an aim to increase the production of milk, the Dairy Farming wing in the Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry in Jammu and Kashmir are encouraging formation of cooperative societies. Thus local villagers and dairy farm owners in valley region of the State have founded cooperative societies to lend a fillip to milk production and marketing it. Officials have encouraged the local villagers to set up cooperative societies by extending all possible assistance.
