Overlooking the valley of Nubra, the Budhist monastery of Disket in Ladakh District of the State of  Kashmir is one of the remotest compared to other monasteries in Ladakh. The village of Hunder, located nearby is the only other human settlement, which is not far away from the border between India and Pakistan.
