Shikara is the traditional boat of Jammu and Kashmir. One can easily spot this boat on the Dal Lake. Shikaras are quite small with a pointed prow and usually comes with decorated interiors and a small roof. The standard boats are comfortable for four or five people at a time and are a popular means for visitors to explore the Dal Lake and its surroundings.
