About 'Kambara Nritham– A Tribal Dance'

Kambara Dance is the traditional folk dance performed by the Adiyaar tribal community in Wayanad district of Kerala. The members of this community have great respect for the agricultural practices and they express it in varied ways, one of them being the performance of Kambara Nritham.

The men will sing and dance around the paddy fields while the womenfolk new saplings. Simple steps, circular movements and musical accompaniment of folk songs and wind instruments and percussions add charm to the dance.
