About 'Arattupuzha Pooram – The Oldest Festival'

Arattupuzha is a village near Thrissur town. The famous Ayyappa temple here is the venue of the Arattupuzha pooram conducted every year. This is one of the oldest pooram festivals of Kerala. The big ritualistic event is incomparable because of the colourful displays and music. Caparisoned elephants, Nadaswaram and Panchavadyam are the main elements of the seven-day extravaganza.
