The Thrissur Pooram is regarded as the most colourful event of Kerala. Held each year in the Sree Vadakkumnathan temple premises at Thrissur, the Pooram attracts travellers from all over the world. Ilanjithara Melam is the mass percussion performance in front of the Ilanji tree at Vadakkumnathan Temple, held after noon of Pooram day.
