Mohamma, a small village in Alappuzha district, Kerala is noted for its traditional coir making. It is why Muhamma has been accredited as a coir village. The video clip presents a scene from the village. After deriving fibre from the wet coconut husks, the finished product of coir is being made with the help of some simple machines.
