Mangalavanam Mangroves, situated in Ernakulam district in the Indian state of Kerala, is considered as the green lung of Ernakulam city. A small mangrove area with a tidal lake in its centre, Mangalavanam has blooming vegetation and the lake is connected to the backwaters through a canal.

Mangalavanam is more famous as a bird sanctuary where a variety of bird species from around the world can be found. Various trees and shrubs, which have medicinal values and properties also grow here that add to its significance as a green belt fringing the city.
