The Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (IHMCT), Kovalam, Thiruvananthapuram, is a pioneer institution of hotel management studies.

Set up in 1990, the institution is one among the 24 institutes in the country under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.

It is also a winner of the prestigious ISO 9001: 2000 certificate. The institution renders yeoman services to the tourism and hospitality industry of the country.

The courses offered here include a three-year degree in hotel management, PG diploma in housekeeping and front office operations, and a craft course in food production.

The institution is located at the internationally famed beach destination Kovalam.
