Featuring in this video is the Bolgatty Palace hotel, located on an island of same name in Kochi, Ernakulam, Kerala, India. One of the oldest existing Dutch palaces outside Holland, this quaint mansion was built in 1744 by a Dutch trader. In 1909 the palace was leased to the British and it was their residency till 1947.

Today this colonial mansion is a hotel run by the Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC). An ideal place for spending holidays and also for conducting conferences. A small golf course and honeymoon cottages are other attractions. All modern amenities including swimming pool and ethnic cuisine are offered.
