About 'Agasthya House at Neyyar dam'

Agasthya House is a hotel run by KTDC (Kerala Tourism Development Corporation) at Neyyar, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India.

Neyyar is a popular picnic spot with a wildlife sanctuary and dam as main attractions. Located in the south eastern side of Western Ghats, the sanctuary is noted for the presence of a wide variety of flora and fauna.

A Lion Safari Park, crocodile farm and a deer park are other attractions here. Boating in the reservoir and trekking facilities are also available. The watch tower here offers a superb view of the dam and surroundings.

Agasthyakoodam or Agasthya hills and Meenmutty waterfall are part of the sanctuary. Agasthyakoodam is the second highest peak in Kerala and is a treasure trove of rare medicinal herbs and orchids.

The Crocodile Rehabilitation and Research Centre here is named after Australian wildlife enthusiast and Television fame Steve Irwin.

Agasthya House is an ideal choice to stay and explore the destination.
