About 'Lake Palace, Thekkady'

Video of Lake Palace, Thekkady, Idukki, Kerala. India. This majestic mansion is located on a peninsula in the Periyar Lake that flows through lush green Periyar forest. The Lake Palace was the summer retreat of the erstwhile Travancore kingdom. Today the Kerala Tourism Development Corporation runs a hotel in the palace. The Periyar Wildlife sanctuary, tiger reserve, boating and trekking are other attractions nearby.
