About 'Brisk sales at Pulluvila vegetable market'

Pulluvila, a small village near Vizhinjam in Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala, is a coastal hamlet with a vibrating rural life.

The local vegetable market here sells a wide variety of fresh farm produces.

Several interesting places are located at Vizhinjam. An ancient rock cut temple here has sculptures that date back to 18th century AD.

Archaeological excavations have found the remnants of a fort and port that had existed at Vizhinjam during 8th century.

A marine aquarium with a variety of species is located here. The aquarium is managed by the Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute.

Vizhinjam is only a short drive from Kovalam, the internationally famed beach destination
