Alappuzha beach is a popular tourist destination in Alappuzha district. The palm-fringed beach is one of the most attractive beaches of the state. The clean, serene surroundings of the beach are ideal for relaxing and a good sunbath.

There is an old lighthouse in the vicinity adding a mystical look to the beach. A crumbling pier on the beach, which is almost 140 years old, is another attraction. This pier extends to a distance of about 1270 feet. One may get on this pier and watch the sun go down gently into the sea.

A park known as the Vijaya Beach Park is nearby. Both the adults and kids can have a lot of entertainment here.
