Kozhikode beach is situated about 1 km away from Calicut city. The beach is excellent for sunset watching. The Lions Park and Marine Water Aquarium attached are a passion for children who visit the park. It is a busy evening, and the visitors and vendors crowd the beach, while the surf strikes the shore with thundering blows.

This beach has an old fashioned light house and two crumbling piers, each of which was constructed more than a hundred years ago. The piers extend out to the sea and one of them is seen in this video.
