Kovalam beach, one of the finest tourist destinations of Kerala, becomes the busiest tourist spot in the state during September and May, the best season to visit the destination. Foreign tourists, especially Europeans are much attracted to this well-known beach.

Kovalam, the internationally famous beach destination is a cluster of three crescent beaches lying adjacently. Lighthouse beach is one of them, with a lighthouse to signify its name.

The other two beaches at Kovalam are Eves (Howah in local parlance) beach and Samudra beach. Bathing in the blue waters, canoeing, catamaran cruise and sunbath are some among the favoured activities of travellers to Kovalam.
