Located at Kayamkulam ,Alappuzha, Kerala, Krishnapuram palace had been the residence of the rulers of Kayamkulam kingdom. The age of the palace is unknown and it was renovated in the 18th century. Today the palace houses an archaeological museum and the most fascinating exhibit here is that of a mural portraying Gajendra Moksham, the largest one of the sort in Kerala. A beautiful garden, a Buddha mandapam etc. are other attractions of the palace which is now under the Archaeology Department.
