The video is of Olappamanna Mana, a grand ancient mansion which is the residence of a noble Namboodiri family in Kerala.   

The ancestors who lived here had made worthy contributions to the cultural field of Kerala. The family is also noted for its patronage to renowned artistes and musicians. Kalluvazhichitta, one of the different schools of Kathakali, had its origin here.  

Chembai Vaidyanatha Bhagavathar, the doyen in Carnatic music, made his first performance at the age of eight at the Kanthallur temple managed by the Mana. Incidentally, the last public performance of the maestro was also at a temple managed by the mana.   

Noted litterateurs O.M.C Narayanan Namboodiripad, O.M. Subrahmanian Namboodiripad, Dr. O.M. Arjunan and Sumangala are members of this family.

The mana and its 20 acre premises is today a heritage home and farm stay offering accommodation for tourists in a unique ambience.
