About 'Chembukkavu temple – a Thrissur pooram participant'

Chembukkavu Temple is a participant of the biggest event of Kerala, the Thrissur Pooram. Ten temples participate in Thrissur Pooram, held at Vadakkumnathan temple, Thrissur, in a particular day falling in April-May every year. It is a festival of colours and sounds. Caparisoned elephants, Nadaswaram, Pandimelam, Panchavadyam, and Kudamattam or parasol changing are the main elements. The main participants of Thrissur Pooram are Paramekkavu Temple and Thiruvambadi Temple.
