About 'Haripad Sree Subrahmania Swamy Temple'

Haripad, a village of Alappuzha district, Kerala, is famous for the ancient Subrahmania temple dedicated to Lord Muruka. Annually three festivals are celebrated in this temple, of which the Chithira festival is the most important. It takes place in the Malayalam month of Medom (April-May). The procession with the golden peacock throne is quite attractive.
