Kerala in South India is well known for its Thrissur Pooram festival. During this festival nine participating temples come together and offer their festivities collectively and it is recognized as cherupooram.

Neithilakkavu or Neithalakkavu temple at Kuttur in Thrissur or Trichur district is one of the nine participating temples of Thrissur Pooram. It is also famous for its kavadi festival.
