A temple associated with the heroes and heroines of Vadakkanpattu (Northern Ballads)of Kerala, Lokanarkavu Bhagavathi temple is  situated at Memunda, about 2 kms from Vadakara  and 54 kms from Kozhikode (formerly Calicut).
