Bateshwar, an archaeological site consisting of more than 200 ancient shrines is located few kilometers away from Morena district in the State of Madhya Pradesh, India. Located near Padavali, another temple site in the State, the shrines of Bateshwar are mostly dedicated to Lord Shiva. The excavation works here were started in 2005 which are still going on simultaneously with that of the restoration works.
