Built in 1809 by Maharaja Jiyaji Rao Scindia, Jai Vilas Palace in Gwalior, Madhya Pradhesh is a fine blend of Italian Tuscan and Corinthian styles of architecture. This luxurious Italianate structure is designed by Lt. Col. Sir Michael Filose. Though it is still the residence of the Scindia family 35 of the rooms have been converted to Scindia Museum.
